Schools struggle to recover amid years of cuts
Economic hard times have affected teachers by causing many teachers to lose their jobs. Teachers are faced with additional students per class and budget cuts that eliminate electives, shorten the academic year, and cut summer programs. The less experienced teachers who lose their jobs may be forced to seek employment outside of education.
When will the budget cuts really stop, is a question I know everyone wants an answer to. I am currently a secretary for MPS technology department. However, June 30 will be my last day due to the budget cuts. The budget cuts effect every one in education.
